On Day Sixty-Eight of my 365 day writing challenge, I have elected to employ a rather odd saying I use from time to time to remind myself and others with whom I work that the only place I can do anything of any significance is the place in which I find myself. The saying goes like this: “You Can Only Be Where Your Are. You Can’t Be Where You Are Not!”
See! I told you the saying was a little odd. I have many directions in which I can take this little phrase. I can focus on envisioning where you’d rather be if the “where you are” is not where you want to be. I can use this phrase to remind others about where they are and point to responsibilities to which they must attend. I can even use the phrase to bring others back to the reality of where they are physically.
I can use this phrase in many, many ways. Today however, I want to use this phrase as a point of encouragement to embrace where you are and engage in the activities that make life more meaningful.
Here we go!
“You Can Only Be:”
- Kind
- Loving
- Giving
- Forgiving
- Mindful
- Useful
- Observant
- Sympathetic
- Empathic
- Supportive
- Insightful
- Aware
- Active
- Purposeful
- Encouraging
- Plugged in
“Where You Are . . . You Can’t Be (All of the above and more) Where You Are not!”
So . . . my challenge to you today is that you work to “BE Where You Are” and BE that person to the fullest extent possible!
Peace!
