Leslie has worked in the education field for the past 23 years helping support Deaf and Hard of Hearing youth overcome the trauma of language deprivation while providing mental health education. She is currently working as a Licensed Professional Counselor.

Leslie completed her Master of Education in Mental Health Counseling at Lamar University and Master of Science in Deaf Education from Texas Woman’s University. In addition to being a Licensed Professional Counselor, Leslie is a certified sign language interpreter and deaf education teacher.  

She feels her strength is building trusting relationships with her clients. Her ultimate goal is to provide a trauma-sensitive and culturally-informed space wherein her clients can feel safe and empowered.
