Actually, I never really left; however, I have not written anything in a very, very long time. So in a sense, I AM back.

Some have wondered what I’ve been doing. I know this due to the FB and Twitter messages as well as the periodic emails I’ve received posing questions as to the absence of my writing presence on the web. Perhaps you have wondered too . . . perhaps not. Either way, I’ve decided to reinsert myself into the vast stream of information that swirls around the Internet every day. As I venture back into the information sharing storm, I am hopeful that I will be able to add something of value in the process.

So much has changed since I last posted back in the middle of June. What has changed you may ask? Well, here are just a few alterations to my life landscape:

  1. Early on June 30 I found myself in the ER. Diagnosis? Diverticulitis! Yep! Not a good thing!
  2. I’ve lost a total of 22 pounds as a result of the emergence of this disease! Yikes! I’m back to within two pounds of “high school skinny” and I’m not so sure I like that! LOL!
  3. I’ve had to alter my entire diet! Talk about an adjustment! Some of my favorite things can no longer be some of my favorite things!
  4. We have moved to . . .  As one of my clients said, “You’ve moved to the middle of nowhere and turned left!” We actually have moved to my small hometown of Memphis, TX in the SE corner of the Texas Panhandle!
  5. We are maintaining our counseling practice in McKinney providing supervision to our three Licensed Professional Counselor Interns and working with clients every second and fourth weekend of the month. BTW, this is working out well – better than I anticipated!
  6. We are opening an arm of our counseling practice here in Memphis, TX as well! Mental health care in Rural America is a need that must be addressed. That being the case I am looking forward to what I can learn as well as what I can do.
  7. I have established new writing/publishing goals. I anticipate publishing three new books in 2015 – both non-fiction and fiction.
  8. I have established new speaking goals! I am looking forward to expanding opportunities to share what life has taught and continues to teach me.
  9. I will be developing online counseling and coaching as a part of my work.
  10. I will be rolling out an online membership site that focuses on providing support, guidance and information for people dealing with the death of a loved one.

Yes, much has changed. One truth of which I have been reminded is that no matter how old one is, it is never too late to establish and pursue new sets of goals.

I am hopeful that you will join me in this journey! I am hopeful that you will find hope, health and healing in what I share. I am hopeful that you will teach me YOUR truth as well. I am hopeful . . .

Peace my friends!
