Day Thirty-One of 365 – Be a Wise Guy

Words, words, words! The world is FILLED with words! Unfortunately, many of the words thrown around through all media platforms lack wisdom, clarity or weight. More often than not, people consumed by the need to be heard spew words fraught with hatred, bitterness, rancor, insensitivity, self-absorption and foolishness. Plato once said, Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something.”

If only we would start demanding that those who possess platforms of influence speak only when wisdom, sound judgement and reconciliation serve as motivators, perhaps our world would begin to heal.

The cold reality is that audiences often feed on foolishness and the hungrier we are, the more we are fed! As the din of the feeding frenzy grows, the words of the wise struggle to find voice!

A word to the wise . . . Speak up! Speak out! Stay resolute! Talk so that we may finally listen. Remember, “Wise men talk because they have something to say . . .”

Be a Wise Guy!

Peace!
